Dear IWEPNM 2019 participant,

the preparation for this year’s Winterschool in Kirchberg is almost completed. There is some final information which we wish to bring to your attention.

Time and schedule

The Winterschool extends from Saturday afternoon, March 09, to Saturday morning, March 16. An informal reception party will be arranged on Saturday, March 09, around 9 pm. If you arrive in time you can have dinner at the Hotel Sonnalp before the reception party. The last meal will be breakfast on Saturday, March 16. The dinner on Friday will be a buffet combined with a farewell party.

Contributions

Oral lecturers are asked to check their lecture time, which is 20+10 and 50+10 minutes for research and tutorial lectures, respectively. There will be three poster sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, respectively.

Please note that all posters must be in portrait format!

The dimensions of your poster should not exceed the size of our portable poster walls: height: 150cm, width: 100 cm!

All participants are invited to contribute comments, questions, confirmations, objections etc. to the individual lectures. All oral contributions of the morning and evening lectures will be video taped. Mini workshops can be arranged during the afternoon any day.

The research discussed in Kirchberg will be published in a special issue of physica status solidi and other journals by Wiley-VCH. Details will be announced at the meeting.

Travel

Some participants of the IWEPNM 2019 will be accommodated outside the Hotel Sonnalp in close by hotels or private bed-and-breakfast places. However, all facilities of the Hotel will be open for these colleagues. Dinner at the Hotel Sonnalp is included in the registration for all participants and accompanying persons. The Hotel Sonnalp will provide wireless LAN connection to the Internet.

Transport from Munich Airport

There is a minibus transportation from Munich Airport to Kirchberg. For reservation of the minibus please ask via email at: info@kirchberg-tirol.at or check the web site of the company running the minibus at:

To reach the counter for the bus, proceed to behind the "Zentralbereich" of the airport, near the staircase to the S-Bahn. The ride is 2.5 hours. The fee is € 56 one way. You should make a reservation for the taxi at least 5 days in advance!

Choose the journey from "Munich Airport T" and to "Kirchberg in Tirol".

From Kirchberg or Kitzbühel train station you may take a taxi to Hotel Sonnalp. A 24h conventional taxi transportation is available from Kirchberg train station. Call Taxi Aschaber at +43 (0)5357 2711 at least one hour before you need the taxi, or send an email in advance to: taxiaschaber@aon.at

Transport from Salzburg or Innsbruck airport

Taxi transportation is also possible from Salzburg or Innsbruck airport. If you need it, please check the website of the taxi transport company:

Arrival and conference check-in

Registration for the IWEPNM 2019 starts at the Hotel Sonnalp on Saturday March 09, 5 pm.

Check-in to the rooms starts Saturday noon. Please go to Hotel Sonnalp first, even if you are accomodated in a nearby place. If you plan to arrive prior to March 09 and you did not mention it already you must check back with us.

If you plan to arrive later than 10 pm, please notify us in advance.

The Kirchberg / Kitzbühel region is famous for it's prepared slopes and freeride possibilities
